LOC or LCO?

Liquid or leave-in, oil, then cream (LOC) or Liquid or leave-in, cream, then oil (LCO). Which method do I use?

In the LOC method, a water based leave-in conditioner is applied first all over and massaged into the beard and the skin under the beard, then beard oil is applied to the beard and skin under beard, then finally a cream or beard butter is applied over the leave-in and oil to seal in moisture.

In the LOC method, the water based leave-in conditioner is still applied as the first step to both beard and the skin under the beard, the cream or beard butter is applied next to both beard and skin and then lastly the oil is applied to seal in the moisture.

There is a lot of advice about which method to use based on your hair porosity but we suggest you try both methods for a few days and do which method works for you.

Happy bearding!
